The Braai South African Wine & Cuisine was first established in New York City way back in the year 2005. The South African chef wanted to do this business in her own country, however, things didn’t work out well and she had to move out and live in another place. When she went to NYC, the chef figured out that her passion for cooking and her goal to build her own business can still be pursued even after leaving the country she loved so much. After all, this could be a way to let other people know more about South African cuisine and culture.
She knew that it won’t be easy since she’s alone in planning to create this restaurant but then, she still received a great help form many people. With the help of her family, the chef first started to learn how to adapt to the new place and environment. It wasn’t hard to do since almost all the people they met in New York City were all nice and great. After a year, she started planning and organizing everything for the business she wants to create. In the year 2005, the Braai South African Wine & Cuisine was successfully put up. The people in New York are very fond of this restaurant because they get to discover new dishes and learn about the culture of South Africa.
When the first and main branch of the restaurant became a success, the owner decided to put up other branches in different places such as in Tempe, Chicago, Nevada, and more. It was a good thing since the chef gets to pursue her goals and passion while giving other people an opportunity to improve economically. She outsources all of her ingredients locally so this gives people in the area where she established her restaurant a way to improve their lives. It was also a success to make the South African cuisine and culture be known as one of the most glamorous and popular cities around the world.
